Dr. Thomas stays active in the community by volunteering for the Charles Drew Sickle Cell Camp and Physician Camp Goodtimes, a children's oncology camp. Dr. Thomas is married with four adult children and three grandchildren. He stays active by hiking, kayaking, playing tennis, bike-riding and jogging.
