“Pediatrics is fun. I enjoy taking care of a child's medical needs and having fun with kids at the same time. I try to engage the child by making some portion of each visit a game. That way, children are more excited to come back next time. Sometimes there is an obvious choice in medical decision-making, and I make it clear to parents what to do. At other times the answer is less clear, and I present options along with my guidance so that parents can make the best decision for them. I enjoy being a pediatrician, and one day I hope to be taking care of my patients’ children.”
Dr. Sanders enjoys playing with her two young daughters and taking family vacations. Her favorite vacations were to Egypt and the Galapagos Islands. Dr. Sanders stays active by downhill skiing, snowboarding and scuba diving. She enjoys reading books about medicine and illness, including the works of Thomas Mann, such as Magic Mountain and Death in Venice. Dr. Sanders is fluent in German.
