“I chose pediatrics as a career because I love partnering with parents and families, in addition to caring for children. Building those relationships and working together to help kids grow and thrive is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I also love the joy and humor that children bring to each day—I’m lucky to spend much of my time laughing at the funny and unexpected things my patients say and do.”
Dr. Lyons supports vaccinations for all children. Her patients should anticipate that vaccinations will be discussed at all well child examinations, and vaccinations will be offered at all appointments to children who are due for vaccines. Dr. Lyons promotes and follows the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) immunization schedule to provide evidence-based vaccine recommendations for children and adolescents.
Dr. Lyons believes in partnering with caregivers to provide personalized, family-centered care. She strives to ensure parents’ goals and concerns are heard while helping children feel comfortable, confident, and empowered throughout their care.
Outside of work, Dr. Lyons enjoys running, biking, camping, reading, cooking and baking, trying new restaurants, knitting, and spending time with her cat, Huckleberry.
