“I chose a career in pediatric medicine so I could work with kids and their families. To meet a child in their first days of life, to develop a trusting relationship with their family and be able to guide them throughout their development is so rewarding. I approach patients with an emphasis on preventative care. I believe that understanding a childā€™s background and social environment is an important part of their health and development. Getting to know each family, their community and available resources is part of the foundation of my approach to patient care.”

Dr. Coleman supports vaccinations for all children. Her patients should anticipate that vaccinations will be discussed at all well child examinations and vaccinations will be offered at all appointments to children who are due for vaccines. Dr. Coleman promotes and follows the CDC’s (Center for Disease Control) immunization schedule.

In her free time, Dr. Coleman enjoys reading, travel, and baking. She stays active through dance, yoga, and playing tennis.
