Talking to Kids About Pride Month

At Pediatrics Northwest, we recognize the importance of being a safe, honoring, and inclusive place for all patients, families, and employees. We know that LGBTQ+ youth are more likely than their heterosexual peers to experience negative health and life outcomes. It is critical for healthcare workers, parents, guardians, and other family members to have access to the resources they need to ensure LGBTQ+ children are protected and supported. In fact, a supportive family environment is the number one predictor of positive outcomes for LGBTQ+ youth.
