A Collaborative Care Approach to Behavioral Health Treatment and Support
A partnership with Pediatrics Northwest and HopeSparks Family Services
Mental and behavioral health concerns are common among young people and have increased in recent years. Common concerns, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, or behavior challenges, might show symptoms that could be difficult to spot. Addressing these problems early will help your child manage symptoms before they get too big or overwhelming. Your pediatrician cares about your childās mental and physical health and well-being. Your observations and concerns are important to share with your pediatrician, who will also use questionnaires to identify needs. After reviewing the questionnaire results, your pediatrician might recommend a team-based approach to support your child. This approach, Collaborative Care, is effective at addressing mental and behavioral health needs before they become bigger problems. Many concerns can be addressed and improved with a supportive treatment program such as Collaborative Care. If needed, your pediatrician may recommend specialized care elsewhere in the community.
